ProShares S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats ETF

This is a read-only illustration of the fund's published holdings, priced with our own data. It is not a portfolio, it is not advice, and it is not affiliated with ProShares or with S&P Dow Jones Indices, which owns the S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats index.

This line is the ProShares fund, not the list underneath it. It plots NOBL's own listed price with distributions reinvested, so it carries the real record, including the expense ratio and whatever the quarterly reset back to equal weight costs or earns.

We could have priced today's holdings backwards through the years instead. We do not, and the Dividend Aristocrats index is the clearest illustration of why: it removes any member that fails to raise its dividend. A backward projection of this list would therefore be a projection of companies that all kept raising, while the ones that stopped, and were dropped for it, would leave no trace at all. The result would look better than the fund did and would be worth nothing.

The comparison opens against an S&P 500 tracker rather than the European default, because a US large cap dividend fund measured against a European index is the least informative of the four choices.

S&P 500 (iShares Core)+17.53%
Difference-6.80%

This is the fund's own track record, taken from its listed price and including reinvested distributions. It is not this list of holdings run backwards, which would quietly drop every company the index has since removed and flatter the result.
